The IPSC Timer is designed for IPSC & IDPA practical shooters. Besides standard timer features this app displays the elapsed time and the splits between the fired shots. Its always with you whenever you and your iPhone are.
This app has a unique shot recognition algorithm which works properly indoor and outdoor. Its ideal for competition, training and coaching in any conditions.
The IPSC Timer has many useful advantages in comparison with the standard ones. You can replay and save the training results and its soundtracks in your iPhone. This feature is especially helpful during competitions when it is important to avoid any mistakes.
The price and functionality of the Timer is incomparable with standard, sometimes bulky devices.

Main features:

- IPSC Timer detects the shots and shows its timing using internal iPhone capabilities;
- the best results are reached when using Iphone 5 or higher;
- time splits between shots;
- number of shoots;
- random or specific signal delay;
- indoor & outdoor shots detection;
- saves and e-mails the result: score, hitfactor and soundtracks of trainings;
- playback current or stored trainings.

Pros and cons of IPSC Timer app for iPhone and iPad

IPSC Timer app good for

Nice app. I just had a problem at indoor shooting! The app marked twice all my shoots. Except this, I liked so mutch!
This App is just what i was looking for, thank you very much. It is well designed and features almost everything I need for IPSC shooting. The beep is rather quite in comparison with common timers on the market (e.g. CED 7000) but nevertheless recognizeable. Maybe a Iimitation of the iPhone speaker itself. I would like to make the following suggestions: - the last ten or so entries should be saved temporarily, so they can not be deleted by accident - a slave mode would be nice, especially in a competition - please include a Hit Factor calculator in the next update Thanks!
I shoot IDPA and wanted a practice timer, this one works as advertised and its simple and straightforward. Allows for 0-10 second random or set delay then vibrates to notify the timer has started and records each shot fired. The random delay feature is great for draw & fire practice while the set delay feature works great in competition. I think it is well worth the $5 bucks. I do wish I had researched the App Store more carefully before purchasing; I noticed the IPSC Shot Timer Pro for $18.99 and choose the lesser priced IPSC Timer at $4.99. Upon further research I see that Surefire and Taurus offer free versions which I would have tried before spending the money.
I bought this despite the bad review, it worked perfectly with my 45 Auto. This app is fantastic for practicing, I highly recommend.

Some bad moments

Only counts every other or third shot, or none at all. Very disappointing.
Might work for you, but unable to detect our door 9mm. Useless for me.
This would be a great app if it worked the way it should. I can not get it to register shots. If somebody could help me on this, that would be great.
After several trials with different positions application is not working properly.....
I tried that with airsoft guns and does nt work. It only recognise a few shots. I guess theres some trouble with the algorithm. I dont think the problem is related to low noise of airsoft guns. (same gun it never takes more than one shot out of three)
The main part of the application (the recognition of the "rumor " of each fired shoot) does NOT work! The rest of the application is really well done but unfortunately it is not usefull at all.. I cannot understand how to let such a app to be considered "valid" for the apple store in those conditions ;-(
